Law firm moving

Plan the office move around your practice.

Coordinate your firm’s furniture, workstations and boxed office contents with one BMG project manager and a written moving scope. Serving legal offices across Orange County and Los Angeles County.

Put the physical moving work in one plan

Offices and workstations

Inventory attorney offices, support-team desks and workstation components. Agree disassembly, transport and placement against the firm’s approved destination layout.

Meeting and shared areas

Include conference furniture, reception desks, shelving and ordinary office equipment in the walkthrough. Identify any specialist or unusually heavy items for separate review.

Boxed office contents

Define the packing owner, container quantities and destination labels. The firm approves how confidential material is packed, who may handle it and how the handoff is recorded.

Give files, technology and access a clear owner

Have the firm designate the person responsible for records and confidential materials before the walkthrough. Agree the containers, handling permissions and release and receipt contacts for any file-moving work included in the scope. Use approved destination identifiers on labels and keep client names and matter details out of the general moving inventory.

Your IT provider owns backups, shutdown, reconnection and testing. BMG reviews the agreed physical handling of ordinary office equipment with that provider. Confirm technical work and specialist equipment separately, including who approves systems for use after the move.

Agree the move window before confirming the date

  1. Walk the offices. Review furniture, boxed contents, the destination layout and building access at both locations.
  2. Set the handoffs. Assign packing, records, IT and building contacts. Identify the firm’s approver for layout or scope changes.
  3. Confirm the written work. Agree quantities, handling, placement, price and permitted work windows. Phased, evening and weekend options depend on the specific project.
  4. Inspect the result. Check agreed furniture placement and moved items, record outstanding work and have the firm’s responsible teams confirm reopening readiness.

From our client history: Garcia & Artigliere

BMG relocated a 35-person law office over two days. The project covered workstations, legal files and equipment, with the office set up and ready for work Monday.
