Business Moving in Los Angeles
We have been moving offices, warehouses, and commercial spaces across Los Angeles County for over a decade. From Downtown LA high-rises to Westside tech offices, South Bay warehouses, and San Fernando Valley corporate parks — the same fixed-price, project-managed, $2M-insured process applies. Weekend and overnight moves are routine, so your team keeps operating Monday morning while the new space is already set up.
Why LA moves go sideways
Three factors blow up budgets and timelines on LA office moves: traffic, building access, and parking. Hourly movers absorb none of that risk — every minute spent waiting for the freight elevator, every block circled looking for a loading zone, every traffic delay on the 405 — it all gets billed back to you.
Our LA-specific process plans around the things hourly movers pretend do not exist. Loading-zone permits pulled in advance. Freight elevator slots reserved with property management. Routes built around peak traffic. COIs submitted to building management before move day. Dock times confirmed with the receiving site.
And because the price is fixed at the walkthrough, none of that planning gets passed back to you as overage.
What that looks like in practice
- →DTLA & Century City high-rises: Building security coordinated, COI submitted, freight elevator reserved, loading-zone permit pulled.
- →Westside / Culver City tech offices: After-hours moves to avoid the morning Westside crawl, floor-plan-driven cubicle placement, IT-equipment crews.
- →South Bay warehouses: Bay-by-bay racking reinstall, dock-height matching, forklift crews on standby.
- →SFV / Burbank entertainment offices: Sound-stage equipment handling, sensitive-area protocols, weekend execution before Monday call sheets.
- →Beverly Hills / Mid-Wilshire medical: HIPAA-aware crew protocols, equipment manufacturer coordination, after-clinic-hours execution.

Los Angeles moving FAQ
Do you cover all of Los Angeles County?
Yes. Our daily routes cover all of LA County — Downtown LA, the Westside (Santa Monica, Culver City, West LA, Brentwood), Mid-Wilshire and Hollywood, the South Bay (Torrance, El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Long Beach), the San Fernando Valley (Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena), and the Gateway Cities. If you do not see your city listed, call us — we cover it.
How do you handle parking and loading in dense LA neighborhoods?
During the walkthrough we identify the loading zone, freight elevator, dock height, and any city permit requirements. For DTLA, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, and Santa Monica we routinely pull temporary loading-zone permits and coordinate with building security to reserve elevator slots. The cost of permits is folded into the fixed quote.
Can you move on a weekend or after hours to avoid weekday traffic?
Yes — most of our LA office moves happen overnight or on a weekend specifically to avoid traffic and protect business hours. The crew clears your old space Friday after 6 PM and you walk into a fully set-up new office Monday at 8 AM. Same fixed price either way.
Do you handle multi-tenant high-rise office buildings in LA?
Routine for us. Tenant-improvement build-outs, after-hours freight elevator coordination, COI submission to property management, dock-time scheduling, and floor-plan-driven placement are all standard parts of the move. We submit the COI directly to the building before move day so there is no last-minute hold-up.
What kinds of LA-area businesses do you typically move?
Tech and creative agencies (Westside / Culver City), entertainment offices (Hollywood / Burbank), law firms and professional services (DTLA / Century City), medical and dental practices (Beverly Hills / Mid-Wilshire), warehousing and 3PL (Vernon / Commerce / Carson), and corporate HQ relocations across the San Fernando Valley and South Bay.
How is your pricing different from other LA movers?
The price you see on the quote is the price on the invoice. No hourly meters running, no surprise add-ons for stairs, long carries, packing materials, or overtime. For LA — where high-rise loading delays, freight elevator queues, and traffic can blow out hourly estimates by 50% — fixed pricing protects your budget.
Are you licensed and insured for moves in California?
Yes. CAL-T licensed (California Public Utilities Commission) and we carry $2M in commercial general liability insurance. We submit COIs directly to your building management ahead of the move. Cargo insurance options (Released Value vs. Full Value Protection) are explained at the walkthrough so you can pick the right tier.
Do you also serve Orange County or just LA?
Both. Business Moving Group is headquartered in Orange County and runs daily routes through both counties. Cross-county moves (LA → OC, OC → LA) are common — we have crews on both sides of the LA/OC line so we are not running empty miles between cities.
